Indigenous Culture
The history of the Alpine Region
Aboriginal people have always had and continue to have a close association with this landscape and have been caring for this country for thousands and thousands of years.
There are a number of Aboriginal pathways crisscrossing the region which would have been used for travelling across the region, trading, family celebration and ceremony and feasting on the bogong moths high in the Snowy Mountains.

The path passes through the centre of Delegate before making its way to the mountains. The Bundian Way is an inspirational project designed to share Aboriginal history and culture, the shared history of the early Europeans and the Aboriginal people and importantly provide employment opportunities for local Aboriginal people.
