Marulan

Live in this historic town and experience the true Australian country spirit.

Marulan features historic buildings dating back to the 19th century and is the only town in the world situated on the 150th meridian (which is used as the basis for Australian Eastern Standard Time), with sculpture depicting this interesting fact located in the town centre. Come fly a kite during the annual Kite Festival when the village becomes a celebratory hub for the village’s kites and arts community.

Conveniently located a minute off the Hume Highway, Marulan makes the perfect pit-stop. But it’s more than just the service stations with an array of parks, shops, ATMs and amenities throughout the village. Add gourmet coffee, delightful food, a country baker, award-winning café, traditional pub and wonderful General Store that offers High Teas and Ploughman’s lunches – means there’s even more reason to be in Marulan.

Marulan’s population of 1,178 is well serviced by Marulan Primary School and 1-2 General Practitioners. Every visitor is welcome with country hospitality, making Marulan an attractive village for tree-changers – who can find houses for around $400,000 or an average weekly rental of $373.
